The Best Itineraries On Carnival Spirit

Carnival Spirit’s red, whale-tail funnel has become a familiar sight in Australian waters since the “fun ship” moved to Sydney in 2012 to offer casual cruising with “Aussified” style. In August 2015 the ship was refurbished again, emerging with a lineup of new features including a Mexican style BlueIguana Cantina and Tequila Bar, a Guy’s Burger Joint, a Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Rum Bar and a Bonsai Sushi. So what’s our pick of the five great itineraries for 2016?

Tasmania And Melbourne

Just say the name Tasmania and images spring to mind of rugged landscapes, a rich convict history and peculiar wildlife. It’s also a hot new cruise destination, and if you head south to the Apple Isle on this seven-night, round-trip cruise from Sydney, you’ll discover there’s a lot more to it than devils and wilderness. Ports of call include the cultural capital of Hobart and historic Port Arthur, the world’s best preserved nineteenth-century penal colony. There’s also a full day to enjoy the sights and shopping of Melbourne.
