P&O Cruises’ Five-Ship Spectacular is set to make a grand entrance in Sydney Harbour on November 25 this year. P&O Cruises Senior Vice President Sture Myrmell reveals Sydney has never hosted five cruise ships on the harbour on the same day.

“Sydney has one of the most beautiful harbours in the world to cruise into, so to have our five P&O Cruise ships sailing through the heads on November 25 is going to be extraordinary,” he says. “Throughout the day, the entire P&O fleet will be moored in the Harbour – something that has never been done before.”

Come Aboard the Refurbished Sea Princess

Ships are built to last but they need regular maintenance and upgrades. The Sea Princess, which has been sailing around the world since 1998 and is one of Princess Cruises’ three Australia-based ships, has had plenty of attention over the years. The adults-only Sanctuary area was added in a previous refurbishment and it has just undergone a multi-million-dollar makeover in Singapore.

In August 2015 the ship was refurbished again, emerging with a lineup of new features including a Mexican style BlueIguana Cantina and Tequila Bar, a Guy’s Burger Joint, a Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Rum Bar and a Bonsai Sushi. So what’s our pick of the five great itineraries for 2016?

Discover the Best Itineraries on Ovation of the Seas

Ovation of the Seas will become the newest and third ship in Royal Caribbean’s Quantum Class when she debuts in 2016, featuring the same groundbreaking innovations as sister ships, Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas. On this ship you can go skydiving with RipCord by iFly, take yourself to new heights riding the North Star viewing capsule, go rollerskating and enjoy the flexibility of dynamic dining. And in great news for Australian cruise fans, Ovation of the Seas is venturing to Australia for six weeks in her inaugural year; she’ll call Sydney home, and cruise our backyard starting from December 2016. So what itineraries are available?
